We collect you at your hotel and travel north in an air-conditioned van to the historic town of Stellenbosch. Situated on the Eerste River and at the foot of the Stellenbosch mountain is the Eikestad, named after all the oak trees lined streets. Here we stroll along the oak-lined streets taking in the architecture of this university town.
A Wine farm with a 300-year-old history who believes in ethical farming, the health of the soil and the people who work it. Artistic endeavor and absolute care in the crafting of their wines is where we pause to taste and experience it for ourselves.
Eagle Encounters is a wildlife and bird sanctuary on the farm whose main aim is rehabilitation, release, conservation& education of birds of prey and other wildlife. Raptors of all sizes are showcased in the flying show displaying these feathered friends up close and personal.
We end the day exploring The Dylan Lewis Sculpture Garden. The indigenous garden of Fynbos, buchu, and ericas is set on seven-hectares with the rugged Stellenbosch mountains as the backdrop.
